Most people are under the impression that a tutor’s job is to help their students get the correct answer on a test or do better on an essay. This is only a small part of a tutor’s job. A tutor should inspire students to reach their academic perfections by creating academic interests, guide students towards academic opportunities suited for those interest, and connect students with individuals of similar interests. By doing this the tutor becomes a mentor and the student gains academic freedom.
About Elite Tutoring
Hello, my name is DaVante Cain. I founded the Elite Tutoring organization to help students in their academic endeavors by introducing them to qualified individuals. We aspire to be a primary resource for students by introducing them to programs and professionals of similar academic interests. All of the professionals that we advertise are UCI affiliates, with the vast majority being Ph.D. students in a STEM-related field.

It all begins with an idea. Ours is to educate and help students attain the resources and knowledge that they need to accomplish their academic goals. All of our professionals believe in passing along their knowledge and experience to benefit the next generation of students.

AP Exams are Coming!
The AP exams are coming up soon during the month of May. Whether you are interested in passing the class or passing the exam, it is time to connect with one of our professionals to maximize your study patterns. Our professionals are proven experts in their field of study.
Where do meetings take place?
All meetings take place at the agreed location of the client and the professional. We encourage that the first meeting to be in a public location such as a coffee shop or a library. Common meeting locations are at the client’s home, virtually via Zoom (all of our professionals have access to Zoom), or at another location agreed upon by the client and professionals.
Are prices set in stone?
All prices are a negotiation between clients and our advertised professionals. We may advertise at the price that our professional requests, but it is ultimately up to the negotiation between the professional and the client on what the charges will be. Our professionals range from $70 - $110 an hour.
How many meetings a week?
Studies show that at least two sessions a week for an hour and a half is the most beneficial for students. However, scheduling of meeting times is at the discretion of our professionals and clients.
